Rev 6:1
|
As
I watched, the Lamb
broke the first of the seven seals on
the scroll. Then one of the four
living beings called out with a voice
that sounded like thunder, "Come!"
|
|
Rev 6:2
|
I
looked up and saw a white horse. Its
rider carried a bow, and a crown was placed
on his head. He rode out to win many battles
and gain the victory.
The white horse
represents Antichrist;
(This is not to be confused with the white
horse rider of
Revelation 19:11-21
the other is
Christ in Person!).
This one begins a series of terrible events
on earth; the "One"
in
(Revelation 19:11-21)
ends these
events! He comes on a white horse, imitating
Christ
and claiming to be Him
(Revelation 6:2).
"satan"
is the one who gives Antichrist a crown!
(Daniel 8:24; 11:38-39; 2 Thessalonians
2:8-12; Revelation 13:2,4).
|
|
Rev 6:3
|
When the Lamb broke the second seal,
I heard the second living being say,
"Come!"
|
|
Rev 6:4
|
And another horse
appeared, a red one.
Its rider was given a mighty sword and the
authority to remove peace from the earth.
And there was war and slaughter everywhere.
The red horse;
This is a clear
symbol of war. Peace
taken from the earth; killing one another; a
great sword. It is the natural result of the
white horse rider
of
Revelation 6:2
going forth to conquer. This will be the
second tri-continent war. Antichrist comes
out of the ten kingdoms that will be formed
in the first future tri-continent war of
prophecy
(Daniel 7:7-8,23-24).
|
|
Rev 6:5
|
When the Lamb
broke the third seal, I heard the
third living being say, "Come!" And I
looked up and saw a
black horse, and its rider was holding a
pair of scales in his hand.
The black horse;
and he that sat on him had a
pair of
balances in his hand
This is a symbol of famine which is
the result of the conquest and wars of the
first two seals
(Lamentations 4:4-8; Matthew. 24:7).
|
|
Rev 6:6
|
And a voice from among the four living
beings said, "A loaf of wheat bread or three
loaves of barley for a day's pay. And don't
waste
the
olive oil and wine."
|
|
Rev 6:7
|
And when the Lamb
broke the fourth seal, I heard the
fourth living being say, "Come!"
|
|
Rev 6:8
|
And I looked up and saw a
horse whose color was
pale green like a corpse. And
Death was the name of its
rider, who was followed around by the Grave.
They were given authority over one-fourth of
the earth, to kill with the sword and famine
and disease and wild animals.
The pale horse:
and his name that sat on him was "Death" and
"Hell" followed with him
Here death and hell are personified.
Pale
translated "
green"
"Death" rides the
green-pale horse,
"Death" and "Hell" here no doubt refers to a
great pestilence following the wars and
famines of the first three seals;
(Matthew 24:6-7; Ezekiel 14:21).
|
|
Rev 6:9
|
And when the Lamb
broke the fifth seal, I saw under the
altar the souls of all who had been
martyred for the word of God and for
being faithful in their witness.
|
Rev 6:10
|
They called loudly to the Lord and said, "O
Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long will
it be before you judge the people who belong
to this world for what they have done to us?
When will you avenge our blood against these
people?"
|
Rev 6:11
|
Then a white robe was given to each of them.
And they were told to rest a little longer
until the full number of their brothers and
sisters -their fellow servants of Jesus--had
been martyred.
|
|
Rev 6:12
|
I
watched as the
Lamb
broke the sixth seal, and there was a
great earthquake. The sun became as dark as black cloth, and
the moon became as red as blood.
|
Rev 6:13
|
Then the stars of the sky fell to the earth
like green figs falling from trees shaken by
mighty winds.
|
Rev 6:14
|
And the sky was rolled up like a scroll and
taken away. And all of the mountains and all
of the islands disappeared.
|
Rev 6:15
|
Then the kings of the earth, the rulers, the
generals, the wealthy people, the people
with great power, and every slave and every
free person--all hid themselves in the caves
and among the rocks of the mountains.
|
The sixth seal; destruction in nature
|
Rev 6:16
|
And they cried to the mountains and the
rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face
of the one who sits on the throne and from
the wrath of the
Lamb.
|
|
Rev 6:17
|
For the great day of their
wrath has come, and who will be able to survive?"
|
The 4 Horses; the 7 seals;
The white horse;
The Red Horse;
The black horse;
The pale horse;
The judgments on the
evil world; |
