Faith Base C11 Testimony T. P.; April 2009 My name is T.P. As a kid, I hated going to church. I felt forced by my mother to attend services every Sunday. So I became a teenager, my mother left the decision up to me. The decision to do my own thing eventually landed me in prison at the age of 21! I went to prison for burglary and was sentenced to 3 years in prison by 3 years probation. After serving my time, I got out with plans to get a job and stay out of trouble and completing my probation. 5 Months later I was arrested for violation of my probation with the same criminal offenses that sent me to prison! Sitting in jail with 4 resisting arrest charges, a burglary, a grand theft and a violation of 3 years felony probation! I was devastated! Looking at 15 years mandatory and being a prison re-offender, I figured the only way out would be to kill myself. I thought there was no hope for me! A few days after I was arrested my brother came to visit me and told me that our mother had hired a private attorney to represent me. To me this was exciting news; in fact I saw it as direct sign of God. Letting me knew that He is my helper and that everything will be OK! The fact that my mom had hired me a lawyer lifted my spirit and that day I found a bible and haven’t stopped reading it since! January 7th 2009 I officially gave my life to God! Since receiving God’s gift of salvation through Christ Jesus, I have been blessed with unimaginable peace. By seeking God! I have found favor with him and men. All my prayers have been answered since I have been saved! On March 13th, 2 of my charges has been dropped. I was offered 42 month in prison for all my charges, but after 2 of my charges were dropped my lawyer said that’s possible that I only do 10 month in prison for the violation of probation.
I thank God for being my helper. My favorite Scripture is: God isn’t done with me yet! God had delivered me from a life of crime and drug addiction. I lived my life for satan! NOW I’m living to please my Heavenly Father! To Paul van Beek: I want to thank you for being such a inspiration to me while you were here, also for helping me to get me into Faith-base-dorm. You have been a blessing and a inspiration to me regarding my spiritual walk in life. God bless you. T. P. Comment from Paul van Beek: I am happy you are changed and live a live with G-d! I am impressed by doing just G-d’s work; I can be a blessing and inspiration for other like you. It is not about how good I am, but how good G-d is and had used me to reach out to you! I was His vessel He used, to save and change you for Him! Continue in G-d and you will be on your turn a inspiration for others as well! Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Jeremiah 33:3) Shalom,
Paul van Beek |
