Great Lessons of John 15:1-8
I am the true vine, and My Father is the husbandman. Every branch in Me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. (John 15: 1-6)
G-d
{YHVH} is the
husbandman (John
15:1).Yeshua,
the Messiah,
or Jesus the
Christ is
the "good vine"
(John
15:1,5).
Believers are the "branches" in
Yeshua, the Messiah;
(John 15:2,5).
Ancient Israel
turned out to be a false vine
producing “wild grapes”
(Isaiah
5:1-7).
The cleanliness referred to here was a present experience before the cross
with a real heart of purity!
(Matthew 5:8)The branch is being able to bear fruit only when it remains in
Yeshua, the Messiah
and is powerless to produce fruit if they do
not
abide in Him!
If any branch (man) does not abide in
Him he is cast forth as a branch and is withered and burned. G-d can only
be glorified by the branches when they remain in
Yeshua, the Messiah
and produce much fruit
(John 15:8). |

You shall know them by their “fruits”!
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. ( Matthew 7:16-20) This is a statement from Yeshua, the Messiah; It plainly explains that there are ways whereby all men can know who is right and who is wrong, who is for the truth and who is against it, who is a true Christian and who is not, and who is a true teacher and who is a false one! The ways whereby man can be discerned is "by their fruits" and not by their outward appearance and refinement, which is so deceptive! Like David was compared to his grown up brothers, he was not even counted important enough to be urged to attend the feast. He remained yet the youngest, and behold, he kept the sheep perhaps smaller than the other sons of Jesse, in people eyes, but he was chosen of G-d, Who was looking on the heart and not the outward appearance. He had the true qualities to be a king! A most perfect and beautiful fruit tree outwardly will sometimes be so diseased inwardly that it produces the worst kind of fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth corrupt fruit and a corrupt tree cannot produce good fruit. Every tree brings forth of its own kind whether it is good or bad. So it is with false teachers and those who follow them. Such people can be ever so good outwardly and they may be more refined and correct in life than many true Christians, but this does not prove that they are of G-d! We maybe all have experienced “supposal Name Christian” and rebels (could be “saints” in the church itself, not only referring to the world! They are worldly minded! Wrong spirit, hidden attitudes) against G-d His Word. They have been so nice, refined, polite, well-mannered, polished, high toned, and poised until one would think they were gifts from Heaven, but they were in reality destitute of all truth and spiritual experience and bitter enemies of the Word of G-d! False Religious forces is one of it!
You are being able to
bear fruit only when it remains in
Yeshua, the Messiah
and is powerless to produce fruit if you do
not
abide in Him! |

To have common things to refer for illustrations to...!
The Jewish people in the ancient times (Old Testament) have common things in the Scriptures to refer for illustrations to their occupation, environment and to the scenes with which the Jewish people in ancient times are familiar! Even Messiah Yeshua's teachings were based mostly on this way! So also this teaching is based on the common things that surrounded us. My design in this teaching is to make it simple and an easy way of understanding! Paul van Beek God's Outreach Ministry Int. |

A detailed reproof of sins!
Now will I sing to my well-beloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes. (Isaiah 5:1-2) It is like Isaiah 1 in that it gives a detailed reproof of the Ancient Jews for their sins. They had no sense of right and wrong because of sin. They were proud and wise in their own eyes! (Isaiah 5:21) Of all the deceived people, those who are wise in their own eyes and think themselves to be something when they are nothing are the worst (1 Corinthians 8:2; Galatians 6:3). Branches of fruitlessness will be taken away or will be removed from being part of the (good) vine! It will cut off, withered, gathered with other dead branches and cast into the fire and burned! (John 15:2,6)
The Word of G-d declares a detailed reproof of the Ancient Jews for their sins, but also for today!
Today!
Some people are always willing to trust in mankind or solution worldly minded, for help in times of trouble! It caused the people to depend on men instead of G-d! They ignored G-d and depended on their own insight, their knowledge, their pride and their own strength for help. They refused to seek the L-rd and to look to G-d for their help! (Isaiah 31:1)
How many
time are we as Christians are looking for help among each other, instead
to go to G-d first! Counseling after counseling, talking and talking! …Ye
shall know them by their fruits. (Matthew 7:16)
But behold oppression; for righteousness!
For the vineyard of the L-rd of
hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and
he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but
behold a cry. (Isaiah 5:7)
There was
(is) disregarding
of the work of the L-rd
(Isaiah 5:12)
Hell will enlarge its "jaws" to the extra multitudes!
Since so many will go to hell that should go to heaven, it will enlarged its "mouth" to the extra multitudes who would be saved from such a place if they would obey G-d. Sin and iniquity abounded and multiplied until the whole became enormous! This is also the spirit of men today who are totally abandoned to evil! Their conscience is seared as with a hot iron, and they are hardened through the deceitfulness of sin to the point of no concern whatsoever (1 Timothy 4:1-2; Hebrews 3:8, 12-14). Unfortunately, I am sorry to say, but there are also “pastors” in hell!

Graven Images!?
Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me? (Jeremiah 2:21) G-d often pictures Ancient Israel as a vine or a tree growing in the earth! Israel is not only called a vine, but "the vineyard of the L-rd of Hosts" (Psalm 80:8-16; Deut. 32:32-33; Isaiah 5:1-7; Isaiah 27:2-6; Jeremiah 2:21; Jeremiah 12:10; Ezekiel 17:5-6; Hosea 10:1; Joel 1:7; Matthew 21:33-46; Mark 12:1-12). The L-rd Yeshua uses the same figure in connection with the church (John 15:1-8). And it grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature, whose branches turned toward him, and the roots thereof were under him: so it became a vine, and brought forth branches, and shot forth sprigs. (Ezekiel 17:6) Son of man, What is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch which is among the trees of the forest? (Ezekiel 15:2) Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images. (Hosea 10:1) Ancient Israel became as a empty vine! They did not fear the L-rd anymore (Hosea 10:3). They were compared to an empty vine because of bringing forth fruit only for himself, and his fruit being sinful. They were making many altars and many “graven” images". There hearts were divided and had Idolatry His worship (Hosea 10:2; 10:10) They were trusting in their own ways and in the multitude of supposal “mighty” men (Hosea 10:13) Wickedness were the fruits of there empty vine!
Here in no
uncertain terms that since
they served stocks
and stones as gods,
they should call upon
them
in the time of trouble instead of coming back to Him when
their gods prove
powerless to do anything for them.
But they are altogether
brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of
vanities. (Jeremiah
10:8) The tree trunk of
Jeremiah 10:2-5
made into a pillar was an “upright
god”,
an image of a man
carved in it and covered with silver and gold
plates. The
idol
made of a tree trunk and covered with silver and
gold was their “the
true god and the one”
to protect the nation! (?)
It was a "doctrine
of vanities," for every detail of the teaching about the idol was vain! |
|
The contrast between idols and their makers! |
|
The work of the hands of men
(Jeremiah 10:3) |
A work of many errors
(Jeremiah 10:15) |
This refers to a tree trunk (or its branches) being made into an idol and set upright like other pillars or idols. The tree had no branches left on it at all! Branches which made into an idol, the work of men, are still dead! It is cut of from the “source of life”! Even it seems to be so nice and beautiful, the branch itself is helpless to produce "good fruit" of itself! (John 15:4-5) Branches which are fruitless (or false fruits) will be taken away or will be removed from being part of the “real good vine”! It will cut off, withered, gathered with other dead branches and cast into the fire and burned! (John 15:2,6) “The vinedresser” would be able to prune the vine and remove the “dead” branches!
You maybe think these teachings belongs only to the ancient times and not for the time like we live in? The branch is being able to bear good fruit only when it remains in Yeshua, the Messiah!
How can you say, “I am
not
polluted, I have
not gone after {Baalim}”?
Consider your way of life! Are you still abiding in
Yeshua
complete on your ways?
(Jeremiah 2:23)
“But
where are the gods that I have erected in my life”?
Is it not the “securities” of life we depend on so much? Are we still not
compromising with the issue’s of life? Or to claim specific positions or
status? “let
them
arise, if they
can save thee in the time of thy trouble?”(Jeremiah
2:28) |

What are the "fruits" of...? |
|
What are the fruits of real -&
name
“Christianity”? What are the fruits prejudge mentality among Christianity? What are the fruits of no real consideration, no real confession & repentance? What are the fruits manipulation concerning money & false promises & profaning the Name of the L-rd? |
What are the fruits of the self
centered attitude
& motives? |
Ye shall know them by their "fruits"…! |

Strongholds!
...
Strongholds are growing into your life. They are worldly-connected, long, slender, “growing” like shoots rely on their victim as objects for "their" support. In addition to winding or twining around your inner life. We have to bind and to take a stand against all kinds of strongholds; workings of satan, his principalities, powers, and demons that would hinder us, in the name of Yeshua, the Messiah! We need to take our place with Yeshua and recognize, by faith that all wicked strongholds and satan himself are under our feet as a subject to the L-rd!
There is a place where
the
weight of the burden of the strongholds
will fall from you, where it will
be cut off and you will be transformed into an expression of great joy!! |
