People"
Holocaust drama

million people crying from the grave. Invisible
people calling out their names. Beautiful people
taken from their homes. Oh, scattered people
nowhere to go. And the mother and fathers and
the sons and daughters, they were carried away
in trains Their bodies are broken and beaten and
burned and their ashes fell down like rain. They
were branded with a number and a
yellow star
and paraded around in shame.
They
called it a crime to be born a Jew and in the
name of "God" they were slain
Blessed people who tried to help
while evil people
schemed among themselves. Everyday people who
ignored the news,
oh...indifferent people sitting in the pews. And
the mother and fathers and the sons and
daughters, they were carried away in trains.
Their bodies are broken and beaten and burned
and their ashes fell down like rain. They were
branded with a number and a yellow star and
paraded around in shame. They called it a crime
to be born a Jew and in the name of "God" they
were slain. The forgotten people, 6 million
people, The forgotten people, the chosen people
It's
time to wake up from the pleasant sleep.
Time to see our nakedness and begin to weep.
Sound the alarm shouting "never
again!" Let a righteous revolution begin.
History must never repeat itself so lift your
voices and take a stand. United as one for
Zion's sake, undivided as the nations rage.
We've got to rise like an army in the name of
the nation that was born in a day. The forgotten
people, 6 million people, The forgotten people,
the chosen people.
Can you hear them calling out again?
These words are spoken during the song
"Forgotten People" by Ted Pearce. The song is
part of the new sampler "For Zion's Sake" and is
published in spring 2007 by "Galillee of the
Nations".

In most of my Holocaust studies, there were many facts and figures about Nazi brutality, about the many anti-Semites inside Germany as well as those in “conquered” countries who assisted the Nazis in rounding up and killing Jewish men, women, and children to kill them just because they were Jewish. Secondary to the perpetrators were the many silent witnesses from all these countries who stood by and did nothing. Perhaps they felt helpless and powerless to do anything to save the Jews. On the other hand, maybe they were in agreement with what was happening, but felt by not participating in the persecution and deaths of the Jews kept their own hand clean. (Proverbs 24:11-12) says, ”Deliver [those who] are drawn toward death, And hold back [those] stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, “Surely we did not know this,” Does not He who weighs the hearts consider [it]? He who keeps your soul, does He [not] know [it]? And will He [not] render to [each] man according to his deeds?” It would have been a hard thing for people to help the Jews, because the Germans told non-Jewish populations if they helped the Jews, they themselves as well as their families would be killed
Chevra means
friendship. Our goal is to help our people in
their time of need.
As
people in the west began to hear of our work,
they began to help by sending food, clothing and
medicine. Most of this help came from people in
England, Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, and
Switzerland. As quickly as aid came in, the
amount of people that approached us for help
also increased.
Eventually, people in the United States and
Canada began to send help, and others became
part of the group of workers. We are actively
involved in many countries, and go by different
names in each country, as laws regarding
humanitarian organizations vary from country to
country.
Chevra is the American entity for our
international effort. Some countries are "giving
countries" while others are "receiving
countries." We have been so blessed and are so
rich in North America and we have the ability to
do much to alleviate the suffering and needs of
others. Chevra's work is a way people can make a
real difference in the lives of many people in
need.
Chevra is a humanitarian organization, not a
religious one. While we help primarily Jewish
people, we do not promote religious teaching as
a prerequisite or incentive for people to
receive our help. Our policy is to informally
cooperate with other charities seeking to help
Jewish people, but we will help any Jews in need
regardless of whether they wish to receive
religious information or not.

Rabbi Michael Schiffman
Dr.
Michael Schiffman grew up in New York in a
traditional Jewish family. He has earned BA,
MDiv and DMin degrees. In addition, he has had
ongoing private study of Talmud, Shulchan Oruch,
and Chasidus.
Dr.
Schiffman is the Executive Director of Chevra
USA, a humanitarian organization that feeds
elderly Jews, particularly holocaust survivors,
in the Former Soviet Union and Israel, as well
as mentoring Messianic Leaders in Eastern
Europe.
He
has lead three Messianic Jewish congregations in
Arizona, Ohio, and New York, and served as
Associate Rabbi in Connecticut. He has authored
two books, and has been a frequent contributor
of articles to Boundaries, Kesher, Messianic
Outreach, and other publications.
Dr.
Schiffman also is a lecturer on Messianic
Judaism, History, Torah, and Messianic Worship
in the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations
Yeshiva, and is a Professor on the faculty of
St. Petersburg Theological Seminary, as well as
an adjunct professor in several theological
schools.
He lives with his wife, son in Cape Coral, Florida

They meet twice monthly at the home of Rabbi Schiffman. on Shabbat
afternoons at 5 PM. They begin with an informal
Pot Luck dinner, followed by a Torah study,

Holocaust against the Jewish people during the World War II
To imitate, deceive, or false pretense like: Adolf Hitler (1889-1945) He deceived the entire world, including Britain and the United States.
Pretended
zeal to win converts to “God” (?), but with no view in mind other than to make
instruments to serve their own oppressions and cruelty!
False doctrines and interpretations of Scripture and ungodly means in escaping responsibility in vows which were made in hypocrisy! Maintaining hypocrisy and pretended saint-ship by outward religious show!
Deep inward depravities and abominations covered only by outward forms of religion!
Hitler did kill millions of people from 1933 to 1945!
4,500,000 Jews from Russia, Poland, and the Baltic.
- 750,000 Jews from Hungary and Romania.
- 290,000 Jews from Germany and Austria.
- 105,000 Jews from the Netherlands.
- 90,000 Jews from France.
- 54,000 Jews from Greece.
A total of 6,000,000 Jews!
Another 10 million people who were Gypsies, Slavs, Poles, homosexuals, and the disabled!
Adolf Hitler is an example
of a man who had counterfeit faith!
Even so ye also
outwardly
appear righteous unto men, but within ye
are full of
hypocrisy and iniquity (lawlessness)!
(Matthew 23:28)
The way of millions today in churches who are Christianity
goes no deeper than what can be seen!
