Blessed are You; Our G-D. Creator of time and space, Who
enriches our lives with Holiness, commanding us kindle the
Sabbath and Yon Kippor Lights
Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a
Day of atonement:
it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict
your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of
atonement, to make an
atonement
for you before the LORD your God. (Leviticus
23:27-28)
Yom Kippur has its own candle-lighting blessing. If the holiday
coincides with
Shabbat,
the words in parentheses are added:
When
G-D came down in the Tabernacle in the time of Moses, the
curtains will be expand like a men's longs and a breathing sound
was been heard. This sound of breath was called: "The
breath of the Holiest": "Breath" is "Roach" in Hebrew. The
Ruach Ha Kodesh; The breath of the Holy Place! The breath of the
holiest became known as the 'Holy breath'. 'Breath' means
Spirit and became as
the Holy Spirit!
The Holy Spirit is a Person and
it is not just only breath.
He
became like wind. (Likewise Pentecost) And 'wind' in Hebrew
means "Ruach"!
(This came out of the oral tradition; that is what is not
recorded as in the Scriptures,
but handed down by word of mouth. To avoid that the oral
tradition would not be lost, they wrote it down. It was handed
down)
Beyond the inner
veil was the Holy of Holies,
where centered the symbolic service of atonement and
intercession, and which formed the connecting link between
Heaven
and earth.(Between
the Heavenly Temple and the of the Earth) In this apartment was
the
ark of Covenant,
a chest of acacia wood, overlaid within and without with gold,
and having a crown of gold about the top. It was made as a
depository for the tables of stone, upon which G-D Himself had
inscribed the Ten Commandments. Hence it was called the ark of G-D's
testament,
or the ark of the
covenant,
since the Ten Commandments were the basis of the covenant made
between God and Israel.
The cover of the sacred chest was called the mercy seat. This was wrought of
one solid piece of gold, and was
surmounted by golden cherubim, one standing on each end. One wing of each angel was stretched
forth on high, while the other was folded over the body ...Thus
were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two
wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered
their bodies.
(Ezekiel 1:11) in token of reverence and humility. The position
of the cherubim, with their faces turned toward each other, and
looking reverently downward toward the ark, represented the
reverence with which the Heavenly Host regard the law of G-D and
their interest in the plan of redemption!
Above the mercy
seat was the Shekinah Glory,
the manifestation of
the Divine Presence; and from between the cherubim, G-D“YHWH” or “Yahweh”
Elohim(אלהים) made known His will. Divine
messages were sometimes communicated to the high priest by a
voice from the cloud. Sometimes a light fell upon the angel at
the right, to signify approval or acceptance, or a shadow
or cloud rested upon the one at the left to reveal
disapproval or rejection.
No mortal eye
but that of the high priest was to look upon the inner
apartment of the sanctuary {Holy of Holies}. Only
once a year {Atonement;
Yon Kippur}could the
priest enter there, and that after the most careful and solemn preparation. With trembling he went in
before G-D, and the people in reverent silence awaited his
return, their hearts uplifted in earnest prayer for the Divine
blessing. Before the mercy seat the high priest made
the atonement for
Israel; and in
the cloud of glory, G-D met with him. His stay here beyond the accustomed time
filled them with fear, lest because of their
sins
or his own he had been slain by the
Glory of the Lord. (Partly
out of :Patriarchs and Prophets, by
Ellen G. White, is in
the public domain; See below this page for more information!)
In preparation, the high priest would separate himself from
his family and from the Israelites for seven days in a chamber
at the Temple (or tent in Moses day) On the special Day of
Atonement, he come forth dressed in four linen garments which
were the following (Leviticus 16:4):
1. A linen robe with long sleeves that
draped to the ankles. 2. A linen belt that tied around the waist 3. A pair of linen breaches. 4. A linen turban that fit around the head
covering his hair
The high priest had removed his
royal
vestments; the golden crown with the
Name of G-D engraved;
the
breastplate of gold with the 12 precious stones,
the Urim* &
Thummin*; and the purple garment, to wear linen clothes. This was
the day that G-D would decide if He would forgive the sins of
the Nation (of Ancient Israel)!
The entire day was spent in fasting and in reverence to G-D!
When G-D covered their sin (enrolled for one year) in Heaven,
the angels and people again celebrating G-D's favor! (Angels are
no doubt concerned about man's destiny with G-D!)
* URIM AND THUMMIM
(Heb. אוּרִיםוְתֻמִּים), a priestly
device for obtaining oracles. On the high priest's
*ephod
(an apron-like garment) lay a breast-piece (חֹשֶׁן)
– a pouch inlaid with 12 precious stones engraved with the names
of the 12 tribes of Israel – that held the Urim and Thummim
(Ex. 28:15–30; Lev. 8:8).
By means of the Urim, the priest inquired of
YHWH on behalf of
the ruler (Num. 27:21; cf. Yoma
7:5, "only for the king, the high court, or someone serving
a need of the community"); they were one of the three legitimate
means of obtaining oracles in early Israel (Urim, dreams,
prophets; I Sam. 28:6). Owing to the oracular character of
the Urim, the breast-piece is called "the breast-piece of
decision" (חֹשֶׁןהַמִּשְׁפָּט The right to
work this oracle was reserved for the levitical priests
(Deuteronomy 33:8).

One the high priest entered the
Most Holy
place with the bull's blood, he
sprinkled the east-side of the Ark of the Covenant
7 times(Leviticus 16:14) Without
shedding of blood there was no forgiveness of
sins!...And to
Yeshua/Jesus, the Mediator (Go-between, Agent) of a
new covenant, and to
the sprinkled blood which speaks [of mercy], a better {and} nobler {and} more gracious
message than
the blood of Abel [which cried out for vengeance]. (Hebrews 12:24
Amplified)
1. From
His
face, where
He sweat became
blood 2. From His head,
where they placed a crown of thorns. 3. On His back
where they beat Him with a 12-fold
whip. 4. On His left hand
where the spike was driven into the flesh. 5. On His right hand
where the spike was driven into the flesh. 6. On His feet that
was nailed together. 7. On His side
where the spear pierced Him.
On the fearsome Day of
Atonement, the Jews literally either lived or died
according to the will of ; G-D;“YHWH” or “Yahweh”
Elohim(אלהים)
It shall be a statute to you forever that in
the seventh month [nearly October] on the tenth day of the month
you shall afflict yourselves [by fasting with
penitence and humiliation] and do no
work at all, either the native-born or the stranger who dwells
temporarily among you. For on
this Day Atonement
shall be made for you, to cleanse
you; from all your
sins
you shall be clean before the Lord. It is a Sabbath of [solemn]
rest to you, and you shall afflict yourselves
[by fasting with penitence and humiliation]; it is a
statute forever. And the [High] -priest who shall be
anointed and consecrated to minister in the priest's office in
his father's stead shall make
atonement,
wearing the holy linen garments; He shall make
atonement for the
Holy Sanctuary,
for the Tent of Meeting, and for the altar [of burnt offering in
the court], and shall make
atonement
for the priests and for all the
people of the assembly. This shall be an
everlasting statute for you, that
atonement
may be made for the Israelites for all their
sinsonce a year. And
Moses did as the Lord commanded him. (Leviticus 16:29-34
Amplified)
During this important moment the high priest would bring
two identical (in age; size; color; etc...)
goats with him.
One goat was marked with a long piece of
scarlet thread tied between the 2 horns. This goat was
the sacrificial goat on the altar. The other goat was marked as
"Azazel" (An
other name for satan) And Aaron shall cast
lots upon the two goats; one lot for the
LORD, and the other lot for the
scapegoat. (Leviticus 16:8 KJV) The high priest then laid hand on the (scape) goat, and
transferred the sins of all Israel onto the goat. This
goat was taken far out into the wilderness and pushed off a
cliff where it died. G-D did not want the sins coming back, so
the goat was destroyed, never to bring the sins back again!
A
third red tread was attached to the door of the Temple
gate (Tabernacle-gate). When the goat died in the wilderness, the red tread on the
Temple door was said to turn white! Upon seeing this, Israel
knew G-D had accepted their sacrifices and all their sins
were forgiven.
1.Yeshua
was
dying as an offering "for the Lord"! 2. A thief
did reject the Messiah,
and he went to hell! 3. Another thief "changed" on the cross, his scarlet sins
becoming white as snow!
Yeshua Messiah
has put His Laws in our hearts, and became our "scapegoat"
and taken our sins on His shoulders on the cross. He has paid
the price for our life & salvation; we owe Him everything!
Even the cross itself seems to point in both directions - One
'arm' toward the past, the other
toward the future - as if to tell us
that the love of Yeshua reaches out in loving invitation to
every one!
This
is the agreement (testament, covenant) that I will set up {and}
conclude with them after those days, says the Lord: I will imprint My laws upon their hearts,
and I will inscribe them on their minds (on
their inmost thoughts and understanding), He then goes on to
say, And their sins
and their lawbreakingI will remember no more. (Hebrews 10:16, 17
Amplified)
Each
aspect of the crucifixion is a scene from the past; a type from
the OT Law being acted out and fulfilled by
Yeshua Messiah Himself! We would
look in vain in the New Testament Scriptures for a fulfillment
by the Church (-age), because the Church owes no atonement.
"She" is not innocent, but exonerated. Now
Yeshua has paid all
our sins!Yeshua Messiah is our High Priest as declared in
(Hebrews
4:14-16
Amplified)
Inasmuch then as we have a great
High Priest Who has [already] ascended {and}
passed through the Heavens, {Yeshua Messiah} Jesus the Son
of
G-D, let us hold fast our confession [of
faith in Him]. For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to
understand {and} sympathize {and} have a shared feeling with our
weaknesses {and} infirmities {and} liability to the assaults of
temptation, but One Who
has been tempted in every respect as
we are, yet without sinning. Let us
then fearlessly {and}
confidently {and}
boldly draw near to the Throne of
grace (the Throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners)[Into
His Heavenly Temple], that we may
receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good
time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help,
coming just when we need it].
When our High Priest died on Calvary
(Luke 23:45, 46):
While the sun's light faded {or} {was darkened}; and the
curtain [of the Holy of Holies] of the temple was torn in two.
And
Jesus [Yeshua},
crying out with a loud voice, said, Father, into Your hands I
commit My spirit! And with these words, He expired.
states that the curtains of the Holy of Holies was torn from the
top to the bottom. This clearly signaled that we now can enter
into the Shekinah Presence of G-D by the
Blood of the Lamb!
Now where there is absolute remission (forgiveness and
cancellation of the penalty) of these [sins
and lawbreaking],
there is no longer any offering made
to atone
for
sin.
Therefore, brethren, since we have full freedom {and} confidence
to enter into the [Holy of] Holies
[by the power and virtue] in the blood of Jesus / Yeshua,
By this fresh (new) and living way which He initiated
{and} dedicated {and} opened for us through the
separating curtain (veil of the Holy
of Holies), that is, through His flesh, And since we have [such]
a great {and} wonderful {and} noble Priest [Who rules] over the
house of G-D, (Hebrews 10:18, 21
Amplified)
Endless priesthood (Psalms 110)
compared with (Hebrews 5:10; 6:20; 7:3,17,21,23-28) Where
Jesus/Yeshua
has entered in for us [in advance], a Forerunner having become
a High Priest forever after the
order (with the rank) of
Melchizedek. (Hebrews 6:20;
Amplified)
His
Divine rule in the hearts of those who acknowledge Him as
Sovereign Lord!
Yeshua had
to beaten to get mercy for us! (Hebrews 5:
8-10; 9: 3-8)
Receiving by grace His Glory and being in His Divine presence!
Having
therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by
the blood
of Jesus;
by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us,
through the veil, that is to say,
His
flesh; And having an High priest over the house of G-D; (Hebrews
10:19-21)
Come to My appointed secret place.
This is the place where I am waiting so long for
you! I want to be your best friend! I want to take
your hand, to take a walk with you and show you My
glory. I will heal you! I want to fight for you!* My
Blood
is shed for you! My stripes brought your healing**.
Accept it! Believe it! Is there anything
too much for me? My desire is for you! I will give
you My glory, My healing, My love, My
goodness, My blessing, My anointing, My victory and
so many things more! COME to the Throne of My
Father. COME! And I shall be there for you on this
appointed secret place..."

Holy of Holies Ministries was begun in 1994 in
Tallahassee; Florida, by Dr. Stan J. Kmet and his wife Marci at
Christian Heritage Church. They shared the vision to take a replica of
the Moses’ Tabernacle of the Congregation into the Church Body so that
the "Body" could see first-hand the many New Testament lessons that G-D
designed into Moses’ Tabernacle. Dr. Stan Kmet thoroughly researched the Tabernacle
itself and its elaborate furnishings in order to come up with the many
teachings and illustrations about the Tabernacle of the Congregation
that soon became a part of the Holy of Holies Ministry. Over more than
77.000 people have been ministered to and have experienced the Presence
of the Living G-D!
“Rebuilding the Tabernacle of David” during these last
days. “We have seen an increase of anointing, and praise and worship is one of
the major keys”. Giving the remnant of men an opportunity to seek
G-D and worship Him in Spirit and in Truth! Because of the efforts of "Holy of Holies Ministries",
many within the Church have come to see the significance of Moses’
Tabernacle as it relates to their pursuit of God into the Tabernacle’s
inner sanctum, the Holy of Holies! Through the practical applications
within "Holy of Holies Ministries", many believers have learned how each
piece of the Tabernacle Furniture had a lesson to teach that led the
pursuant into the Presence of God within the Holy of Holies!
