Motivational gifts

1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. 2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. 3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God called Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worked all in all. 7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ (1 Corinthians 12:1-12)

God made our bodies with many parts and he has put each part just where He wants it. And the parts we regard as less honorable are those we clothe with the greatest care. So we carefully protect from the eyes of others those parts that should not be seen. Now all of you together are Christ's body, and each one of you is a separate and necessary part of it.

So what part of the Body of Christ am I?

  • If it is true that the Holy Spirit has given me special abilities! What are they?

Notice how effective we have become in the world today by utilizing the gifts and talents that we have in challenging the enemy:

  • Sports, music, the arts, education, communication, industry, medicine, legal matters, politics, and business.
We do not choose what we are… but rather we seek to become what God created us to be…
  • Striving to reach our full potential in Christ

1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:1, 2)

So where do I fit in the Body of Christ? Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.

4For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one member's one of another. (Romans 12:4, 5)

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: God has given each of us the (grace) ability to do certain things well. There are different "Gift's" throughout the Body of Christ.
Quote: "Our highest fulfillment as believers can only come by
developing the spiritual gifts that God places within the Body of Christ

A. There are seven motivational gifts

1. Perceiving 2. Serving 3. Teaching 4. Exhortation
5. Giving 6. Administration 7. Mercy
6Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; 8Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness (Romans 12:6:8)

Each gifting… Each motivation…

Motivational Gifts

1. Perceiving

The Prophet

Say what they think. Declare the truth. Right or wrong. Black or white. Quality control.

God's Outreach Ministry Int.

See right to the heart of a issue. They are motivated to reveal what is true; They are concerned with revealing the other persons motives; They have a natural "discernment" It is hard to keep silence when they feel truth is being twisted or hidden or offended.
They usually lack tact
They need to learn to speak the truth in love
They need to know "when" to speak Proper channels of "who" to speak to
2. Serving

The Minister

Meet the physical needs of others Helps ministries, ushers, feed the hungry, set up the stage. They have to "DO"  something to help Can see what needs to be done!

Their motives are often mis-understood
Trying to "be seen" or "showing off" Weakness/easily offended. If you don’t show them appreciation. Take care for others. They look down their noses at people who don’t see the physical needs. They look down their noses at people who don’t see the physical needs
3. Teaching

The Teacher

Research the facts, the history, new ideas, details…Impart instruction, communicate knowledge Is motivated to validate truth, wants to know "why" "how" "when" "where"-facts details, put the details in order!

They can be really boring! They have to tell you "why" they are qualified to do what they do, place a lot of importance on "degrees" or "academics". If they don’t feel you are "qualified" & end as; they won’t listen to you. Much detail, more info than you could ever use, great difficulty communicating the practical use of their knowledge
easily offended!
4. Exhortation

The Exhorter

Take care of the spiritual needs of others Stimulate. Build up. Edify. Head up the Pep rally
"You’re going to make it!"
Is motivated to be on top of any situation… not easily discouraged!

They often won’t let you grieve, often lack empathy, everything is mind over matter, decision; can run over or ignore the work of the Holy Spirit. They skip "process"
Easily offended. If you don’t do what they counsel…
5. Giving

The Giver

Gifted to make money, money is their friend, Love to give money, it excites them, They may not even have a lot of money, give & careful what they have The Giver is motivated to make money & give money!

God's Outreach Ministry Int.

The motivation to make money & handle money properly opens a door for hording and stinginess, Classic example: SCROOGE, or they can give everything away and not take care of themselves, the giver is offended: if you don’t listen to their financial advice, debt offends them, lack of financial planning…
6. Administration

They can see the bigger picture in a situation, delegate quickly. If there is a vacuum of leadership, they will "take over" The Administrator is great at making an almost instant evaluation of a problem and assign steps of action to solve the problem. Delegate people to handle it, fully capable of making adjustments as they go

The Administrator can manipulate, control, or even dominate others, subconsciously, They don’t verbalize their appreciation. "Expect you to do your job" We have to serve one another, submit to one another; won’t listen to your input; won’t let you finish your point, They "think" they already know what you’re going to say; jump to conclusions; constantly changing their minds, extremely impatient; Offended: If you don’t obey them… if you question their command, you better jump, and ask how high as your going up, they can’t stand turtles.
7. Mercy

They are focused on the emotional needs of others, full of compassion, love, mercy, very forgiving; can’t we all just get along…? Very compassionate, empathetic, loyal, forgiving…

Totally blind to the faults of the person they are working with; Offended: if you hurt somebody’s feelings; they will take up other people’s offenses; no motivational gift is better than the other one; Many parts, one body; all are necessary! Don’t spend a lot of time analyzing yourself or others; Learn to recognize the gifts and capitalize on them.

In processing in each of us!

  • Most everyone has ONE dominate gift, and then a SECONDARY strength…
  • We must learn to know our strengths & our weaknesses…
  • Many parts, one body… ALL ARE NECESSARY!
  • All seven of these gifts should be functioning in part in each of our lives…
  • But we will have one that is the strongest… then a secondary one…
  • Often, our motivational gifts can be altered by maturity…
  • Our situation / responsibility can greatly impact which motivational gift we will draw upon…
  • Don't spend a lot of time analyzing yourself or others…
  • Learn to recognize the gifts and capitalize on them
  • Don't box yourself or others in…
  • But rather be aware that when you find your gifting you will
  • It's important to develop all of the Motivational Gifts in yourself and those who you have influence with…
  • No motivational gift is better than the other one…
  • Many parts, one body… ALL ARE NECESSARY!
  • Many are frustrated because they are operating in an area they are not equipped to handle…
Hearts not in it…Not motivated to do it…

Develop all seven...

The Prophet / Perceiver: identifies and exposes right & wrong
The Servant:
identifies and meets the practical needs
The Teacher: researches and communicates truth
The Exhorter: identifies and communicates steps of action to meet the spiritual needs of others…
The Giver: motivated to make wise investments…
The Administrator: sees what needs to be done and organizes to get the job done…
identifies and meets the emotional needs…

"When we exercise our motivational gifts, through our ministry gifts, the Holy Spirit will determine the manifestation!" Minimize your weariness and maximize your effectiveness!

Church softball team had just lost the championship game:

Prophet / perceiver: we played the worst game of our life! We really have to work on our batting; we have to have batting practice tomorrow at 7 am!
Rulers: "let's get this equipment picked up… Bill & endash; bats… Mike - pick up the bases…
Servants: they got busy picking up the trash in the dug out…
Teachers: they were making sure they got a copy of the stats… score sheet…
Exhorters: "hey guys, we'll get them next year!" Tim & endash; you did great tonight!"
Mercy: puts his arm around the guy who struck out and lost the game, and is walking out in left field… hands him a life-savor…
Giver: "hey guys, let's all go to Pizza Hut, my treat!"

Important related Web-Page's:

He is the Creator of the Universe, Galaxies or Space. There was, there is and there shall be no end of His creations! The Names of G-d...

Without G-d there is no hope for mankind! It is obvious that man is separated from G-d when we view the ever-worsening situation in the world today. That is why G-d sent Yeshua, the Messiah, Who came to deliver us from our sins and to bring us into a new life in Him. Did you know that you have found the Messiah who said: "Do not think that I came to abolish the law or the prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill!" (Matthew 5:17)?
The believer should seek to know all he can understand, appreciate, and experience the importance of, the Person, ministry and work of the Holy Spirit, as revealed in the Word of G-d!
