These two witnesses are Enoch & Elijah… For the following reasons: See for detailed explanation at:
& Both never died! & Both men were taken in Heaven alive & bodily! & Both men were alive when Zechariah saw his vision & Enoch gave the first prophecy of Yeshua's 2-sd return & the coming judgment (Jude 14-15) & Both men must also die to fulfill Hebrews 9:27 & Elijah is predicted to return before the terrible 'Day of the Lord"! (Malachi 4:5) & Enoch was a Gentile, and Elijah was a Jew! & Elijah will produce judgments against his enemies!
& They are wearing a sackcloth & They will perform miracles! & They will perform their Ministry of prophesying for G-d for 1260 days! & They will be killed; and die; their dead bodies will have to lie in the street for 3˝ days! & But...after 3˝ days they will rise again! & Before the very eyes of their enemiesthey ascended into Heaven in a cloud!

11:1
And there was given me a
reed like unto a rod: and
the angel stood, saying,
Rise, and measure the temple
of God, and the altar, and
them that worship therein.
A
measuring reed was about 12
1/2 feet long (Revelation 21:15-16).
It was like a rod or scepter
as in (Revelation 2:27; 12:5;
19:15)
This is measuring for
chastening, not building
11:2
But the court which is
without the temple leave
out, and measure it not; for
it is given unto the
Gentiles: and the holy city
shall they tread under foot
forty and two months. (42 months)
The two witnesses (Revelation 11:3-12) (1) Time of their prophecy: during 3 1/2 years (equal 42 months or 1,260 days; as half of the perfect number 7, 3 1/2 can indicate incompletion, imperfection, or even evil! The events predicted for this time period: there is trouble! (Daniel 12:7), the devil-inspired beast exercises his authority(13:5) of Daniel's 70th week (Revelation 11:2; 12:6,14; 13:5; Daniel 7:25; 9:27; 12:7,11-12) (2) Their identity (Zechariah :11-14; Malachi 4:5-6; Genesis 5:24; Hebrews 11:5) (3) Their power (Revelation 11:3,10) (4 Their physical death(Hebrews 9:27; 1 Corinthians 15:20-23; Revelation 11:9) (5)Triumph over their death by their enemies(Revelation 11:7) (6) Their triumph over death (Colossians 2:14-17)
11:4
These
(two
prophets) are the
two olive trees,
and the
two
candlesticks (two
lamp-stands)
standing before the God of
the earth.
And if any man will hurt
them, fire
proceeded out of their
mouth, (of
the prophets)
and devoured their enemies:
and if any man will hurt
them, he must in this manner
be killed.
This
is not to be interpreted
literally; rather, it is to
be understood as God’s
making judgment come to pass
on their enemies. Pictures source: Please; go to Contact us and send your e-mail for additional questions;Fire out of the mouth of the 2 prophets.
11:6
These have power to shut
heaven, that it rain not in
the days of their prophecy:
and have power
(to turn the rivers and
oceans into blood) over waters to turn them to
blood, and to smite the
earth with all plagues, as
often as they will.
This also recalls the
powerful deeds God did
through
Elijah and
Moses(1
Kings 17:1; Exodus 7:17-21).

Islam has a teaching of also 2 men that are the
Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal and they will appear in Israel for a period of time and 'deceive' people
(According Islam!), but the Mahdi will come and kill these two men! These two witnesses Enoch & Elijah will come for 42 months and they will be killed by the 'beast' or the Antichrist or the Mahdi; that raised out of the pit, or cave(?)(All personalities are the same!) Islam is actually teaching things that many "Christians" have no idea of it that alluded to our Scriptures especially in the Book of Revelation, but... NOT in the way they
(Islam) is teaching it! Of course G-D of Israel, the G-D of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob knows this from history time and revealed to Apostle John for what's really is going to happen! These two witnesses; Enoch & Elijah will be the two witnesses to the Jews, but... the two Dajjal's to the Muslims!

Abrahamic
religions (Judaism,
Christianity,

In

depicted as a
time of tribulation
that precedes
the

of the Christian
“Savior“
or a “hoped-for

Jesus or Yeshua,
the Christian
Messiah, who
will usher in
the Kingdom of
God and bring an
end to
suffering and
evil.
In
Islam,
Yawm al-Qiymah "the Day of Resurrection" or
Yawm ad-Din "the Day of

Allah's final
assessment of
humanity, is
preceded by the

In
Judaism
the term “End of

from the Tanakh,
Numbers 24:4,
as a reference
to the Messianic
era and the
Jewish belief in
the coming of
'Mashiach'
Various other
religions also

The beast will war on the

11:7
And when they shall have
finished
their
testimony,
the
beast that ascended out of
the bottomless pit shall
make war against them,
and shall overcome
them,
and killthem.
Pictures source: Please; go to Contact us and send your e-mail for additional questions; the beast out of the bottomless pit
This beast
could be satan's agent
and
is a symbol of
three
things:
1. A supernatural angel out
of the abyss
(Revelation
11:7;
17:8)
2. A mortal man,
3. A kingdom
He will war on the 2 witnesses
and will finally kill them(Revelation
11:7)
11:8
And their
dead
bodies shall lie in
the street of the great
city, which spiritually is
called Sodom and Egypt,
where also our
Lord
was crucified.
It's called Sodom and Egypt, where also the Lord
was crucifiedJerusalem is so-called
because of becoming the
headquarters of
sodomites (homosexuals,
Isaiah 1:9-10;
Ezekiel 16:46,53)
and whoredoms (sex and
religious perversions,
Ezekiel 23:3,8,19,27)
during
the last 3 1/2 years the
Gentiles control the city(Revelation
11:1-2).
This indicates that sexual
and religious perversions
will be predominant sins
ending this age
(Matthew.
24:37-39;
Luke. 17:26-30).
11:9
And they of the people
and kindred's and tongues
and nations shall see their
dead bodies three days and
an half, and shall not
suffer their dead bodies to
be put in graves. (No one will be allowed to
bury them.)
To have his dead body lie in view of all was
the worst humiliation a
person could suffer from his
enemies(Psalms79:3.)” In righteous retribution, the flesh of the
anti-Christian host is not
buried, but is given to all
the fowls to eat!
11:10
And they that dwell upon
the earth shall rejoice over
them,
(to celebrate the death
of the two prophets) and
make merry, and shall send
gifts one to another;
because
these
two prophets
tormented them that dwelt on
the earth.
This
indicates the reason for the
long war of the last
3 1/2 years
against the two
witnesses! The people who had been tormented by the
two prophets would celebrate their deaths by exchanging gifts—a common practice in
the Near East (Nehemiah 8:10, 12;
Esther 9:19, 22). These two prophets tormented them with the plagues! (11:5, 6)
Their dead bodies...
Will see theirdead bodies… Nearly 2000 years ago the idea of everybody from all over the Earth seeing the same event would be impossible. Today with cable; satellite TV, internet and radio, dramas of the world unfold daily. Events in Jerusalem, daily find their way into homes, causing everybody to form an opinion on the issues of the Jewish state of Israel. For 3˝ days the world will have time to make sure they are dead. The earth will be celebrating and savoring their death because through them the judgments from Heaven fell on earth. The two witnesses' death and ministry is a 'passion play', of the events in Jerusalem 2000 years ago. They are living witnesses toYeshua Messiah / Jesus Christ, they are a demonstration of G-D’s love to an evil world.
When a Jew dies in Jerusalem, that person is buried the same day. When a Muslim dies, that person is also buried the same day. However, if a person who has blasphemed Islam is slain, often that person's body is laid in the streets and spat uponand kicked, and the corpse is publicly humiliated in various Islamic nations!

And after three days and
an half the Spirit
of life from
God entered into
them,
and they stood upon their
feet; and great fear fell
upon them which saw them. (terror
struck all who were staring
at them)
This is the same G-D who breathed life into
Israel’s dry bones (Ezekiel 37:10, 11). they stood upon their feet.(Ezekiel
37:10) And great fear fell upon them which saw
them! This is “fear” such as
fell on the soldiers
guarding Christ’s tomb at his resurrection (Matthew 28:4) The Spirit of
life in one makes the body live, but when the
spirit
leaves the body it dies(James
2:26). This proves the two distinct natures of man
-- the material and
spiritual natures!

And the two Tribulation-prophets ascended up to Heaven in a cloud—As thetwo
witnessesresembledChrist
in their three and a half
years of witnessing and
their three and a half days
of beingdead,
so also their ascension
resembles Christ’s. Their
ascension characterizes the
rapture (the Great assembly)
in which the righteous devoted Christians will participate
11:12
And they heard a great
voice from heaven saying
unto them,
"Come
up hither". And they
ascended up to Heaven in a

23But every man
in his own order: Christ
the first-fruits; afterward they that are
Christ's
at his coming. (1 Corinthians 15:23).
The same words spoken to
John (Revelation 4:1).
The translation of the
two
witnesses completes
the first resurrection --
the resurrection of all the
righteous dead before the
Millennium. It is the
5th
translation or rapture!
The
two
witnesses, who had
been killed and now are
raised to life, are invited
to come into the very
presence of Heaven. And they
ascended up to Heaven in a
cloud—As the
two
witnesses resembled
Yeshua/Christ
in their three and a half
years of witnessing and
their three and a half days
of being
dead,
so also their ascension
resembles
Yeshua/Christ’s. Their
ascension characterizes the
rapture
in which all Christians will
participate; and their
enemies beheld
them—The
foes must have been
openly convicted by G-D for
their unbelief and
persecution of his servants.
The foes of the witnesses
are convicted of their
unbelief,
even as the
foes
of the church will be
convicted by God for their
unbelief
when the church (Righteous
first-fruit saints) is/are
raptured to meet the
Lord in the
air!
11:13
And the same hour was
there a
great
(terrible)earthquake,
and the tenth part of the
city fell, and in the
earthquake were
slain
of men seven thousand: and
the remnant were affrighted,
and gave glory to the God of
heaven.
The same hour the two witnesses are translated at the end
of Daniel's 70th week (Revelation.
16:17-21). No doubt the same great earthquake of the 7th vial (Revelation
16:17-21). The same number [seven thousand] reserved to God
in Elijah's former days on earth are killed the hour Elijah and Enoch are translated (Romans. 11:4;
1 Kings 19:18).

and, behold, the third woe (terror) cometh quickly.
This refers to the
woe
of (Revelation 9:12-21) and is mentioned here
to introduce the 3rd and
last
great woe upon man,
announced by the angel in
(8:13) The
3rd

but the casting out of

under the 7th trumpet (Revelation 12:12)

11:15
And the seventh
angel sounded;
(blew
his trumpet), and there were great
voices in heaven, saying,
The kingdoms of this world
are become the kingdoms of
our Lord, and of his Christ;
and he shall reign for ever
and ever.
The
world-judgments are complete
in six trumpets,
but by the fulfillment of
the seventh,
the world-kingdoms become
Christ’s.
The seventh trumpet, like
the seventh seal and seventh
vial, brings the
consummation and is centered
differently from the
preceding six; the results
are not those that follow on
earth but those in heaven.
These will include: the
great voices and
thanksgiving of the
twenty-four elders
in heaven, the
half-hour’s silence
in heaven, and “It is done”
at the seventh vial. The seventh trumpet is followed by the coming of the kingdom of Christ!.
It is evident from the text
that the sounding of the
seventh trumpet is to bring
the
third woe,
but no further calamity
is described; therefore, it
seems that we are to expect
additional explanation of
the matters to appear later
in the writing.
The twenty-four
Elders
11:16
And the four and twenty
elders, which sat before God
on their seats,
fell
upon their faces, and
worshipped God,
* The word "Elder"
is never used of angels Acts 14:23
They are
not angels, for
they wear white robes and
have crowns of victory,
implying a conflict and
endurance.
Dispensationalists interpret
this as a reference to
representatives of redeemed
humanity, both OT and NT
saints. They insist that
Revelation 5:9, 10
is strong evidence for this
position.They are distinguished from
angels in Revelation 5:11-14.
*They have crowns and sit on
thrones, which are promised
redeemed people(Revelation 2:10; 3:21;
20:4; Mt. 19:28; 1Cor.
9:25-27; 2Tim. 4:8).
Angels are never seen
in Revelation
on thrones or wearing
crowns. Angels are mentioned
with thrones only in Isa. 14:12-14; Col. 1:16.
*They wear white raiment,
which is used only in
Revelation
of Christ
and saints(Revelation 3:5,18; 6:11;
7:9,13; 15:6; 19:8,14).
* It is clear from Revelation 1:1; 5:5-7;
7:13-15; 19:10; 22:8-9
that
one of the elders is the
person showing
Apostle John the
Revelation,
and that he is a redeemed
man. If one of them is a
man, then all 24 are men.
Since they are redeemed men
and in heaven on thrones all
through the time of the
fulfillment of Revelation 4 -- Revelation
22, they must have been raptured before that! Because they also are been resurrected!
Four Companies of
Redeemed People:
1. Old Testament saints
(Acts 7:38; Heb. 11:1-40;
12:1)
2. New Testament (church)
righteous (First-fruit) uncompromising saints (Mt.
16:18; 1Cor. 12:27-28; Eph.
1:20-23; 2:14-22; 4:12-16;
5:21-32; Col. 1:18,24).The Lord Jesus Christ / Yeshua Messiah
started this 'company', the
church, and will present it
to Himself
at the rapture -"Harpazo" (Eph. 5:27; 1Th. 4:16)
3. The 144,000 Jews, a
distinct company by
themselves, as proved from
Revelation 7:1-8; 14:1-5
4. The great multitude of
tribulation saints, a
separate company from the
church and Old Testament
saints, for they are saved
after the rapture, as proved
in Revelation 7:9-17; 14:13;
15:2-4; 20:4,
which see.
The 24 elders must be
representative of the first
two companies, for the
last two are not redeemed
until after the elders are
in Heaven, or during the
fulfillment of Revelation 4 -- Revelation
22
(see the notes on Revelation 4:1; 2Th. 2:7;
1Th. 4:16).
Why Twenty-four
Elders?
The answer is not stated,
but two facts are clear:
1.
The whole 'priesthood of old'
was represented by 24 elders(1Chr. 24:1-9)
The number “twenty-four”
indicates their continual
service, as the
eternal priesthood
of G-D’s Holy people. The
twenty-four elders join the
living creatures in
worshiping Him Who lives
forever. Revelation 4:10
2.
The names of the 12 tribes
of Israel and the 12
apostles are written on the
Holy city, New Jerusalem(Revelation 21:10-14) (OT Saints will be judged according Old Testament {Old Covenant} norms. New Testament Saints
will be judged according New Testament {New Covenant}norms!
Seven acts of the
twenty-four elders:
1. They sit on thrones
(Revelation 4:4; 19:7-8).
2. They worship G-D {YHWH}(Revelation 4:9-11; 5:8-10).
3. They cast crowns before G-D {YHWH}(Revelation 4:10).
4. They fall prostrate before G-D {YHWH}(Revelation 4:10; 5:8,14;
11:16; 19:4).
5. They sing and play harps(Revelation 5:8-10). 6. They act as priests (Revelation 5:8). 7. They give John the
Revelation (Revelation 5:5; 7:13-14).
Understanding that these
"thrones or seats" of the 24-elders are lower and smaller than
the central Throne;
therefore, their occupants
are subordinate to the One
on the central Throne.
Twenty-four elders are
seated on the twenty-four
thrones.
The
24 elders fell down and
worshipped Him & sung a new
song!
And the
24 elders fell down and
worshipped Him! The picture
in Heaven is a picture of
everyone present worshiping
God and the Lamb.
All of
creation recognizes
the power of G-D {YHWH} and praises
Him!
They sung a new song—yet it is as old as G-D’s eternal purpose. The song is a song of victory
after conflict with the
dragon, beast, and false
prophet. This new song is sung
in anticipation of his
taking possession of His blood-bought
kingdom with His
saints! No man could learn
that "song" but the hundred
and forty four thousand,
which were redeemed from the
earth!
"Redeemed”
literally means “purchased"!
The term translated
“redeemed” literally means
“purchased.” It follows that
not even the angels can
learn that song, for they
have not experienced what it
is to have been washed in
the blood of the Lamb(7:14).
Thus, the song certainly
concerns redemption for His
redeemed righteous saints!
11:17
Saying, We (24-Elders) give thee thanks,
O Lord God Almighty, which
art, and (always)
was, and art to come;
because Thou hast taken to
thee Thy great power, and
hast reigned
Six statements of
the elders:
(Revelation 11:17-18)
1. Thanks
to G-D for using His power.
2. The
nations are angry.
3. The time
of G-D's wrath is come
(Revelation 6:17).
4. The time to judge the dead (the saints, (1
Corinthians 3:11-15,).
5. The time
to give
rewards to saints
(Matthew. 16:27; 1
Corinthians 3:11-15). 6. The time
to destroy earth destroyers
(Matthew. 25:31-46; 2
Thessalonians 1:7-10).
11:18
And the nations were angry,
and Thy wrath is come, and
the time of the dead,
that they should be judged,
and that thou should give
reward unto thy servants the
prophets,
and to the saints
(Gods holy people),
and them that fear Thy Name,
small and great; and
should destroy them
which destroy the earth.
(who
have caused destruction on
the earth")
G-D
will unleash his wrath
against the nations, judge
the dead, reward the
righteous, and destroy those
(i.e., the
beast, the false prophet,
the dragon)
who
had destroyed the earth.

And the temple of God was
opened in heaven, and there
was seen in his temple
the
Ark of his testament:
(Ark of his covenant)
and there were lightning's,
and voices, and thundering's,
and an earthquake, and great
hail.
The
ark after which Moses
patterned His
Ark
of the covenant(Hebrews 8:5; 9:23). The
temple is the sanctuary or
Holy place not the
whole temple (A designating
the sacred enclosure of the
temple area). the ark of His
testament [covenant]—As in
the first verse the earthly
sanctuary was measured, so
here the Heavenly temple is
opened, and the portion
corresponding to the Ark
of the Covenant
in the Holiest place below
is seen. The covenant of
G-D’s faithfulness to save
His people and punish His
enemies
is thus seen. This
symbolizes G-D’s
faithfulness to his people
in Yeshua/Christ(11:15).
In Yeshua/Christ,
G-D maintains control of
history, a further
encouragement to those
persecuted by His enemies.
Thus, John has reasserted
that Yeshua/Christ is King
of kings and Lord
of lords!
Prophet Elijah was the
second man to be taken to heaven in a natural body, (2 Kings 2:11), Enoch
being the first (Genesis 5:24; Hebrews 11:5; see Enoch) Both now reside in heaven in their natural bodies, having never died! However, they will die their own appointed death on earth as the 'two
witnesses' of the future tribulation period (Zacharias 4:11-14; Malachi 4:5-6; Revelation11:3-12;) But also Moses
could be a "candidate", because he represented the Law of G-D,
but he died!
Than in the book of Zechariah; Chapter 4
there are also 2 other potential candidates (?) to be the 2 witnesses:
Zerubbabel
& Joshua!
So we do
not know really for sure who are to be the two witnesses, but some day in G-D's
Divine appointed moment of time they will appear during the
Tribulation-time! Personal, I believe that Elijah
is one of the 'candidates'! Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of
the Lord: (Malachi
4:5) (See more at "2
Tribulation-witnesses"!)
